Student Code of Conduct

What is expected of learners in class, in the laboratory and at the workplace.

Last updated: August 2026. This page forms part of the terms under which BGLRGM Institute of Vocational Education & Training provides its programmes and services.

1. General conduct

2. Workplace conduct

During internship, OJT or Earn While You Learn placement you represent both yourself and the institution. Follow the partner organisation's rules on dress, timing, confidentiality, patient or customer privacy, and reporting. Confidential information seen at the workplace must never be disclosed or photographed.

3. Prohibited behaviour

4. Use of digital systems

Portal credentials are personal. Sharing an account, attempting to access another person's records, or interfering with the institution's systems is a disciplinary matter and may also be an offence.

5. Disciplinary process

Alleged breaches are enquired into by the centre head or a disciplinary committee. The learner is informed of the allegation and given an opportunity to respond. Outcomes range from counselling and a written warning to suspension, withdrawal of a scholarship or workplace placement, or termination of admission in serious cases.

6. Appeal

A learner may appeal a disciplinary decision to the Director within 15 days of being informed.
