Scholarship Policy

Eligibility, categories, assessment, conditions and withdrawal of merit scholarships.

Last updated: August 2026. This page forms part of the terms under which BGLRGM Institute of Vocational Education & Training provides its programmes and services.

1. Nature of the scholarship

Merit scholarship of up to 90% may be available to eligible learners. A scholarship is a concession against the tuition fee. It is not a cash payment, is not transferable and is not an entitlement.

2. Eligibility factors

3. Application

Apply using the scholarship application form available in the download centre, or through the scholarship eligibility page. Applications are considered in the order received, subject to availability.

4. Continuation conditions

5. Withdrawal

A scholarship may be reduced or withdrawn where a continuation condition is not met, where documents are found to be incorrect, or where the learner discontinues the programme. Withdrawal is notified in writing and the balance fee becomes payable.

6. Interaction with other concessions

A merit scholarship is not normally combined with another concession, sponsorship or government scheme covering the same fee head, unless expressly permitted.

7. Decision

Scholarship percentage and availability are subject to the applicable scholarship policy in force, and the decision of the scholarship committee is final.
