Prof. (Dr.) Govindh Ramasamy

The Founder established the institution with the objective of making vocational and skill-based education accessible to learners across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and beyond, with practical training and workplace experience at the centre of every programme. The office additionally leads the institution's foreign affairs — international collaborations, overseas academic links and opportunities for learners beyond India.

The Chief Executive Officer holds overall responsibility for the operation and growth of the institution. The office oversees the running of every centre, the deployment of trainers and staff, institutional partnerships, and the standards that learners experience from first enquiry through to certification and placement.

Dr. Latha Govindh

The Director leads the academic and administrative functioning of the institution. The office is responsible for programme delivery across all centres, the quality of training, the conduct of academic and administrative staff, and the standards by which learners are assessed and certified.

Responsibilities of the office

  • Academic and administrative direction of the institution
  • Approval of programme delivery plans, calendars and centre schedules
  • Supervision of academic, examination, admission and placement functions
  • Faculty and trainer appointment, induction and review
  • Implementation of academic regulations and the code of conduct

The Chief Administrative Officer heads administration for the institution from the Chennai head office. The office is responsible for day-to-day administrative operations across the head office and the centres, official records and correspondence, and the administrative support that keeps academic delivery running.

The Admissions office is the first point of contact for every prospective learner and parent. It guides them from the first enquiry through eligibility checking, programme selection, fee counselling and enrolment, and keeps the admission record of every learner across all centres.

The Training & Placement office connects our learners with employers. It builds and maintains the employer network, arranges internships, on-the-job training and the Earn While You Learn pathway, and prepares learners for interviews and the workplace.

Boards, Councils & Advisory Groups

Three bodies govern and advise the institution, each with a distinct remit.

The Board is responsible for the governance, compliance and strategic direction of BGLRGM Institute of Vocational Education Training (OPC) Private Limited. It sets the institution's direction, approves major decisions, and holds the executive leadership accountable for delivery against it.

The Industry Advisory Group brings partner employers — hospitals, hotels, companies, retail chains, laboratories and skill centres — into the design of our programmes, so that what is taught matches what workplaces actually require.
